I thought a good thing about the book was the way it showed some of the Tom Leyton's war stories and the effect war can have on the rest of a mans life. Running Man shows how after fighting in the vietnam war Tom Leyton is still to traumatised and scared to leave his house years later.
a) Yes i strongly agree with dom there, when he says war can play a big part in someones life. War is something that can scar you for life. And this has obviously happend to Tom b) I thought the story line was a bit boring. The Author could have included a few more twists and turns.
I didn't think this book was written very well. It had too many similes and metaphors and adjectives. I found that it got a bit annoying and it made the book a bit slow moving. The title of the book is running man but the running man himself had very little to do with the book.
a. Agreeing with Dom and Jordy’s comments I enjoyed the way this novel displayed how events can change peoples’ lives and they can only truly move on until the talk about it with someone who can support them. b. In agreement with Dom’s comment I disliked the fact that I did not fully understand some of the metaphors and similes in the book but I think after rereading or thinking about it for a while I understand it more and more.
A.I liked how the book sent a message or taught a lesson about the problems inside us, to the reader. Not many books send such a strong message but this book succeeded in doing so.
B. I also thought the book was also a bit boring it could have included more characters and more events in the story, also some of the things said in the book I didn’t understand.
a)To be honest I didn't like the book. It was a struggle to keep on reading because I found it so boring. Because of this I couldn't pick out a part of the novel that I enjoyed.
b)Because I didn't like the novel I'd have to say the whole book could be improved. If I had to pick one spot to start improving I'd say the start - Choose a more appropriate title for the book.

The metaphor of silkworms living in the shoebox related with Tom who remained in a house, i thought worked very well.
If that makes sense
